We have all heard of the Virgin Galactic, and their recent test flight of SpaceShipTwo. A craft that will soon be making space tourist one at a time, but at only $200,000 a trip, it’s much cheaper than the millions Russia is charging to bring people up to the International Space Station.
The figure above shows how ‘deep’ into space the SpaceShipTwo will bring you to, relative to the rest of the high flying objects from earth.
For those space tourist wannabe, technically you are in space, but you can’t jump out of the ship and hope to circle earth for a long long time. That’s my take.
