We know that this might happen after a few hacking incidents a few months back, where Google accounts was allegedly hacked by China sponsored computer geeks. After that Google has been talking about not censoring search results. We now know how it all have ended, because the Chinese government has been crystal clear that self-censorship is a non-negotiable legal requirement.

I must admit that I truely admire Google for such a gutsy move, because it’s not easy for a public listed company to turn away from such a huge market as China. And I believe that this is because the founder still have a say on how to run the company, not some short term profit driven CEO. That’s my take!
