[gadg3t] Netbook with detachable mobile phone

15 05 2010

Asus is planning a netbook with a slot-in mobile phone, thus enabling you to have 3G communication over your netbook without the extra cost of a 3G module or a extra sim card. Sweet things are coming indeed!

The slot-in mobile phone module will be coming from an Israeli company call Modu. And the module is already on sale. Further more, Modu already have a few devices which you can slot the mobile phone module into.

I am glad some people out there are trying to integrate devices of different expectation together, rather than getting 2 different devices. I will still need to look at the final device, cause sometimes designers of ‘to be great’ products sometimes screw up. That’s my take!
